About Sushi Nikkei
SUSHI NIKKEI - PERUVIAN STYLE
Located at 3819 Atlantic Ave, Long Beach, CA 90807, Sushi Nikkei operates as an asian fusion serving Long Beach in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Long Beach, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 5β9 pm. It is closed on Monday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (562) 283-3042. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is sushinikkei-la.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Customers rate it 4.7 out of 5 on Google across 206 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded asian fusion in Long Beach.
Long Beach is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Long Beach is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Hidden gem alert in Long Beach π£π₯ We just had an incredible meal at Sushi Nikkei in Bixby Knolls, and this place absolutely deserves 5 stars. From the moment we sat down, the service was warm and attentive (shoutout to Ivan π), and every dish that came out was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The Peruvian-Japanese fusion really stands out β bold, fresh, and perfectly balanced. Highlights for us: β’ Grilled scallops β perfectly cooked, buttery, and rich β’ Hamachi tostada β bright, citrusy, and super refreshing β’ Tiradito Nikkei & yellowtail jalapeΓ±o β clean, flavorful, and elevated β’ Octopus fire β tender with just the right kick β’ Sashimi tasting β incredibly fresh and high quality β’ Blue crab hand rolls β simple, clean, and addictive Even the rolls (Dusty Roll, Acevichado) were spot on, and everything felt thoughtfully crafted rather than overdone. For a party of 4, we ordered a wide variety and every single plate delivered. Pricing felt very fair for the quality and creativity. If youβre in the Long Beach / OC area and want something beyond your typical sushi spot, this is it. Truly a hidden gem that blends Japanese precision with Peruvian flair. Weβll definite

The most unique and best tasting sushi Iβve ever had! We had ordered multiple dishes and everything was delicious. Our favorites were the lava scallops and the grilled scallops. The lava scallops were so good we had to order them twice! We really enjoyed dining on their outdoor patio as it is dog friendly and we had our dogs with us. One thing that happened was I had ordered the Aburi Tuna sashimi but they served us the O-toro sashimi instead and we did not realize until the bill came and it charged us for the toro. The server does declare the dish that we are being served but we must not have heard her as it was noisy that night. It was not a big deal as it was only a $10 difference and the toro was delicious anyway. Otherwise, service was generally pretty good. It was a full house so all the servers were kept quite busy.

Top spot in town. For was good and the service was excellent. Nothing super powerful, all simple dishes that kept the food tasting great with each bite. The scallops are the best!

Highly recommend Shinjuku (2pc Nigiri) Unagi (2pc Nigiri) Acebichado (8pc roll) Blue Tuna Tasting (8pc roll) Ginza Maki (8pc roll) Crispy Tartar (8pc)
